wish CUSA would have been like most other leagues and gotten the conference schedule rolling this week. would like to go to a real game today. Dallas Christian? the lost season continues.

Well we got Ole Miss next Wed, at Tulane and then back to back home games with Memphis and Houston. We will know for sure by Jan 15 whether we will have a competitive team or not this season. I have little confidence.

I agree that this season could be brutally bad, but I have to think that PonyDoh is correct when he says that next year should be much much better. Of course I kept saying that for 25 years about the football team also.

Please, please, please, don't start this "wait till next year' crap again. I'm already feeling the pain from the games this year. Don't pile on next years pain already, new blood or not.

If the bar gets low enough, it eventually has to get better next year.......

this is hoops, it's all talent, all the time. Doh hasn't made anyone great, nor has he made anyone suck. They just haven't been particularly well-coached, which they've needed to be, cause they have lacked talent. We've basically finished exactly where our talent suggested we should, the last 8 years. It'll happen again this year. Better talent, better results, no matter who coaches

On paper, this roster looks much improved next year IF everyone qualifies/returns.
However, coaching does matter, regardless of the talent base.

IMO, Doh has had his run. I could tell Doh didn't have it over 2 years ago & expressed my concerns ever since. If this team gets pounded in conference play, and I believe they will, he has to be gone. The fan base has NO confidence in Doh. Attendance can't get any worse.

Add a new HC like a BCG with a young, talented roster, & you will have the biggest local & national buzz SMU men's basketball has generated in a long, long time.

The writing's on the wall. Can't wait for the March press conference & a new, exciting direction for this program.

Long time reader, first time poster (allow the hazing to begin)--

Troy Alexander has quit for good (didn't like doh and decided being a regular student was what he wanted) and Austin Horn should be back on that roster for next year

thanks for that info on Alexander...we were discussing his status at the New Year's Day game.

Whatever happened to Barbre?

As for Barbre, he transferred to community college in Austin hoping to eventually get into UT where his friends are. He hated playing under doh as well and wants to complete his dream of joining a fraternity

Funny hearing Doh's voice echo across Moody "DONT SMILE!" after Luttman was T'd up for slapping the backboard in garbage time. First dunk the kid gets all year..hell maybe in 2 years of mop-up duty and Doh had to make an example of him
