Winnable games?

Only games with hope of winning --

ECU at home
So Miss at home
Tulane at home

I'm looking at maybe 3 or 4 conference wins - unless Pats lights it up all of the sudden after late Jan.

Houston has been wildly inconsistent (including dropping a game to Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, which has not been a good program since Ronnie Arrow left). Think we've probably got a shot at taking them down at least once.

Yeah but Houston just beat a tough 19th ranked UCF this week which makes me think that UH has so much more talented players than SMU, even if they are inconsistant. They do have a new Head Coach this year and additional assistant coaches which takes some time to level out.

Any given Saturday.

UH is 2-3 in the last five games and has a 200 RPI overall. The team has beaten a top 20 UCF team but also lost to #256 UTSA at home a month ago. Another way to look at it is that UH is 1-5 on the road.

On the flip side, SMU's best win has been against #254 Portland State and the Ponies just lost by nine at #191 Tulane, a similar ranking to Houston. Put that game at home and it's a lot closer and potentially an SMU win. It should be a good game.

Last night should be evidence that any game on our schedule is winnable, even if highly unlikley.

Defend well, limit possessions, show patience, control tempo, shoot well. Beat UH

last night I think we saw a glimpse of what this O and D can do, something that you alluded to last year, saying that it is a touch matchup for CUSA teams.

I really would like to see that O/D executed well by the Fab 5

in typing the post above, I realized something.

Nyakundi will be back next year, and will compliment the Fab 5 nicely.

So that will give us "Rob and Fab"

Did we recruit the right guys for that system. The incoming class seems to be more athletic and will want to run with some of these teams...
