A very big game Wednesday. We could have beaten Houston back when we played them at home. I think this is a better bb team this time around. Plus we have won some good games on the road.

I didn't see or hear the UTEP game but what I can ascertain from the UTEP game thread is that we were very much in that game. I don't think Houston has quite the athletes UTEP has at this point.

We really need the win as any road win is a big plus.

If I were Houston, I'd be shaking in my boots. Not only is SMU steaming from the loss Saturday night, but we want revenge for the loss on our homecourt.

WCSPony and I agree that SMU could win this game by double digits.

I think we need to beat UH because they beat us on our home court. I don't see beating UH as a plus, more like getting back our W from a few weeks back.

didnt Houston have like 6 players available when last we played? And were without their two best?

We need to bounce back in a big way to have a shot against a more athletic team on the road.

Yeah, Houston were missing their two big inside men. This is going to be difficult, but I am sure we can do it. We just need to execute.

Come on Ponies!

Maurice McNeil and Kendrick Washington. They should both be available on Wednesday. For that matter, they will be at full strength on Wednesday.

execute is the key. Just listen to Doh's postgame interview...broke off the 'o', went to 1 on 1 stuff instead of working the system, missed cuts.

That would be one concern I have moving forward...bigtime guys that can create their own shot might be tempted to step outside the system

Houston was without Maurice McNeil last time- he is a beast inside and will give Pap fits. However, we proved Saturday night how good we truly are by staying with UTEP without Rob. With Rob's production (he will obviously be back on Wed.), we should have not have trouble. As Harry said, I see us winning by double digits.

Beating Houston at home is no easy task. I agree, we should of won the last game we played them. It was a great game and I cannot remember who it was but they had a great three pointer to win but missed it at the buzzer. We need to win this game. Cannot go in cocky. They have a very good perimeter.

Mike Walker took the three- He was the third option and nearly made it.

That is right. It was very close and I thought he had it for a minute.

We will win but it will be close. Houston will have fewer fans at Hofheinz than they did at Moody.

I agree with those who say that if we win it will be close. We are not going to dominate them down there. I'd be thrilled with a win, buy it's out closing home games that are key.
