ESPN Classic this morning: NC State-Houston '83
Posted: Sat Mar 05, 2011 12:44 pmFirst time I've seen the whole second half since..well..1983. Man, Houston couldnt hit free throws to save their lives. Worse then Memphis when they lost to KU. If Houston had shot even, I don't know, 50% from the line in the second half, they win that game.
The way NC State was scoring all their points from outside, though, had there been thre 3-point line back then, they probably win by 12 anyway. Then again, had there been a shot clock, they probably panic and launch poor shots/get shot clock violations the way we seem to when we go cold.
Lastly, how does Olajuwon not block out on that last second prayer?
