I'm really stunned by this. I guess when you hear us and the NCAA and infractions, the woundS of the 1970s and 80s cut so deep that the FOF (freak out factor) hits red alert stage.
IMO, this is a deal where SMU handled it fine (maybe went overboard on one of the self-imposed sanctions) and the NCAA signed off. To suggest a series of infractions like these will lead to the closure of a program is INSANE THINKING.
Again, the use of Major regarding these infractions is misplaced.
I view Major in terms of cutting scholarships, postseason bans and TV restrictions.
Chill out.
P.S. -- The next time the NCAA wants to come sniffing around our campus, I'm personally buying Jerry Tarkanian's plane ticket and have him walk into the offices in Indianapolis and yell:
SCOREBOARD!!!

We get it: you're a Big 10 fan and a UNLV fan.
More importantly, you're right — this is a non-issue. In the grand scheme of things, this violation is minor, and the punishment barely registers. It amounts to us saying we won't do it again.
More importantly, who might we play in the CIT? I'm hearing UNT has shut it down, and expects nothing by way of a postseason invitation of any kind.

Go SMU & Go Rebels!
These aren't sanctions. Funniest is Mitch's assessment of the in home visits, given our needs and available ships lol. That's like saying we have a small-ish class coming in, and probably a transfer, we don't need 12.
Its like we self-imposed 15 days of R&R for Reggie Brown. He should get a spa day too for last years class.

Your bullying is disgusting. You are so opposed to open discussion that you intimidate others into silence. Again, I am left to ponder why your troll antics are tolerated.

SMU cheated.
Cheating involves knowledge that what you are doing is wrong. There is no evidence that SMU knew it was wrong until after it happened. SMU violated the rules. The issue has been resolved. There has been no cheating.

You are a useless poster that only attempts to anger others. The numerous threads you have started and posted on are intended to provoke. Your goal has never been discussion, but to create controversy because it amuses you.
Yet, despite your constant belittling of others, you hide when you yourself are so challenged.
Behind your false egotism is a small, petty man. I see you for who you truly are.

Stang -- I just read that. I'm pretty comfortable with who I am and really don't concern myself with people who try to make a diagnosis via a message board.
Nonetheless, provoking a reaction appeared to work on you because you've responded twice. Thus, you fell victim to it. You couldn't resist.
It is what it is.

Actually, it was not that I could not resist and fell victim to your self-proclaimed genius. It was that I wished to prove you a liar in your previous post in which you stated you had set me on ignore. You response has confirmed my suspicion.
You are absurdly easy to manipulate.

Stang -- You just go your way. I'll go mine. We'll be fine. Just don't ever read my posts because I certainly tune most of your stuff out anyway.
As soon as I see your name on a discussion, I'm not interested and I move on.

Hey Mary Ellen! Write me a note in study hall and put it in my locker. I'll read it after school. I hope you can go to the roller rink Friday night. XOXO Bobby Jack

You just urinated all over their [deleted] contest. I was counting on that entertaining me this afternoon.

My bad. I'll try to retract it.
