why are you so angry, as to serial thread start? This is a very good thing and it's not up for debate.

Easy guy. We get the point. This isn't what we all want. Some of us just like going to games or watching/listening to them in whatever capacity. If you like basketball, go to the game and cheer for Dia one more time.
If you don't, go back to watching the Mr. Hands video or whatever else it is you do.

It's more than that. This isn't some small deal for SMU hoops at this stage, and it certainly doesn't deserve ridicule on the basketball board, of all places. I'm going to make a personal point of not forgetting and haunting certain posters

Man, I'm excited about it and my post was certainly not meant to diminish but tap the breaks on the grudges.

nah, grudges are fun. They make the message board world go round. I'm good at them, and more prolific than the next

I would imagine that a lot of the posters angry with doh contribute to MC and the basketball team.
I an excited the way the team grew but still not a believer in doh, and the violation kind of turned me against no matter how you cut it, it's a major violation.
I hope you get to remember me next season but I want to know what will be considered a successful season.

You don't have to be a believer in Doh, or even the direction of the program. Quality coaching is what we saw this year, and more talent is what we'll see next. If the two mesh, then we can all rally around Doh. I'm not asking you to buy in, I personally don't care. I just find it ridiculous that so-called SMU fans are on the basketball board crapping all over a legitimate post-season invite by today's standards. It's embarrassing.
I'm ok w/close to 20 wins next year, depending on schedule. Hopeful CBI invite, outside shot at NIT if we get crazy w/the cheese whiz
You realize you care more about those sanctions than the NCAA, right?

It says a lot of my expectations as an SMU fan, but success to me has been defined as improvement. I don't intend to keep such a low bar forever, but I believe that is where we still are today.

and that's why building blocks are important. You use events like this as a springboard moving forward. It helps raise the bar, slowly but surely

It's just a shame that this program has to practice for 4 more days to continue to refine the offensive and defensive systems and that the returning players are "stuck" by playing another game.
It's also a shame that all those transfers, who are sitting at the end of the bench, are confined to also practicing with the team.
What a disaster.

it's just a way some SMU folks have...even after 1o years of futility, there are far too many who will believe this tournament to be "beneath us". Edge may have that in him, but at least is enough of a fan to be on the board spouting off. Most of those types just stopped associating with SMU athletics when the SWC broke up and our state school brethren dumped us.
Baby steps...and long live the 1500
