What I found interesting is that the paper of recorded reported that SMU's overtime win over Oral Roberts was its first postseason victory since 1988.
I didn't know that.
Based on some of the items I read on PonyFans.com, I thought that win -- and I would presume the win over Jacksonville -- really didn't count.
Hmmmm..
Well, I guess those people need to send the reporter an email and correct him on that. Obviously, they know better.

If nothing else, that ORU victory, much like our Hawaii bowl appearance last year, prevents a talking point as to our futility

True, but when we go to the NITs (first stop before NCAAs), I doubt main stream media will reference 1988.
