SMU is in the CIT? This is Ridiculous! Panic!

Yes, it's gravitated from football over to basketball. Instead of mincing words or trying to cover all of your complaints and disgusts over this post-season invitation in several threads, just condense it down to one. With the game at Northern Iowa (just for you Scott, Iowa is 4-letter word), you can get it in before or even after the game.

So let's get it rolling:

1. Sure, the only way this joke of a BB program can into the postseason is to buy its way in. We can use that money elsewhere. For what I don't know. But we can.
2. Doherty better not get an extension over this or I am really not showing up to games next year, even though I've been saying that for 3 years.
3. How much did it cost SMU to even fly to that stupid place in Iowa anyway?
4. We get no benefit of playing 3 extra games and practicing another week in these newly created offensive and defensive systems. Nothing. These systems have all of the value of a cheap suit.
5. Why celebrate Papa Dia's career? What did he ever do? Not one NCAA tournament out of that guy. All-conference my foot. Jim Krebs could come out of the coffin and chew him up.
6. I know I didn't go to the games but attendance has been terrible. You need to give people a reason to go. Nice going, Orsini. Loser!
7. Baloney, if you think those kids who signed in November are feeling the vibe from this. They didn't even come to the games. They should have re-arranged their Spring Break schedules to come to the games. Whatever..they aren't committed.
8. I think David Miller just killed this program for contributing to these games. Thanks, David. Thanks a lot. Ridiculous!
9. OK, there are nearly 350 Division I programs in college basketball. And SMU is one of 140+ who are playing the postseason. How watered down is that. Back in my day, we had 135 Division I programs and only 6 made postseason. You earned your way into the postseason.
10. Back in my day the NCAA was the tournament you aspired to be in (Please note: When postseason BB tournaments began, the NIT was actually considered the bigger tournament). This CIT business is just a money maker -- those entrepreneurs need to do something else.
11. What is a Kwiatkowski?
12. Jacksonville should have won. They worked harder. They deserved it more. The honorable thing to do would be to forfeit.
13. I rather listen to my Michael Bolton collection than watch or track Friday's CIT semifinal.
14. Like I said, we get no benefit from these 4 games and two weeks of practice.
15. Doherty is back for Year 6...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
16. SMU wil rue the day it ever played in this thing. Rue, I tell ya. Rue, rue, rue.
