Iona beat Buffalo at Iona College....home team again won....it was 71-50 with 1 minute left.

The other semifinal is set Iona plays East Tennessee State. The Bucanneers (I thought they were the Blue Raiders) defeated the Ohio Bobcats.

The little history of these programs I can tell you is I can remember Jim Valvano was the coach at Iona before he came to NC State. I watched Iona play UNLV at the Las Vegas CC.

Also, ETSU has made the tournament several times. Their head coach is Murray Bartow, son of former UCLA and UAB coach Gene Bartow. I think Murray followed his Dad at UAB and that went the way as Pat Knight at Tech and Sean Sutton at Oklahoma St.

San Fran is coming out hot and is up early ...these are two good shooting teams..SC has the top 3 point shooter in the country I think....
