Just for the sake of discussion

I've narrowed it to 5. If you have another to bring to the table that's fine. The choices and their reasons would be:
1. Memphis -- Coming off a loss to Tulane in early January, all of us expected this team to get crushed. Magically, it found a way to pull this off. It certainly turned heads. At the time, I was so out on everything. I checked the score about 8:50 that night and
. Maybe it was that win that showed the players they could do this.
2. So. Miss -- The Mustangs shoot nearly 70% and run away. Papa started to make his make for first-team all-conference. More importantly, it legitimized the Memphis win and was the game that made the 5-game winning streak possible and give the kids/staff the idea to believe a winning record was possible.
3. at Tulsa -- SMU has had so many problems with the Golden Hurricane over the years that it leads for a majority of the game, gives up the lead with 7 seconds to play and gets a 3-pointer from Nyakundi with 1.8 to win it. Plus, you saw the birth of Samarrippas because of the play he made at the end to get Robert the ball.
4. Jacksonville -- SMU has been involved in so many games decided by 5 points or less. This team blows a 21-point lead, falls behind and still has the fortitude to find a way to pull it out inside the final second to keep the season alive. A little help from the clock operator? Probably but it was arguably one of the best finishes seen in Moody in quite some time.
5. at Northern Iowa -- On the road, at a MVC school that was coming off a 34-point win over Rider and in the CIT tournament. Despite the Panthers not having a key player, going on the road in an unknown environment is a tall order. The Mustangs take the lead at 9-8 and never trailed after that.
For me, I'm going So. Miss.
