Haynes- key to SMU winning tonight?

We know that as Dia and Nuk go (and really JSam as well) so does SMU. However, in SMU's key wins this season, there has generally been another player outside of that group who steps up. That player has been different from game to game and tonight I think it could be Haynes. He is a potential X factor for tonight's game and I would expect him to get big minutes.

With Foster and Evan R bombing away from the outside Haynes' perimiter D and length could be huge in trying to slow these guys down- especially Foster. I haven't seen SC play this year and don't know if they are more prone to play zone or man on D. If man, the onus will be even further on Haynes to make the SC backcourt mates work hard to defend him. He has been anything but consistent on the offensive side of the ball but has shown flashes at times and has had a couple of really good games.

Tonight Haynes comes ready to play and does a stellar job on D and also is a factor on the offensive end. If he does that, SMU's chances to win tonight have increased tremendously. Step up and be the man tonight, Justin!

Haynes plays pretty good defense, but that guy is a turnover machine.

And practically no offense. When he and Harp are on the court together, we are playing 3 on 5 when we have the ball..............................

I mentioned this on another thread. I really think that he could be a secret weapon for us tonight, and people forget he has had some offensive explosions. He has had 6 double digit scoring games this season, although they were early, and he put up 21 in one of those.

His defense is very solid and his length on D could be huge on the perimeter, I just hope that, as mentioned, he is responsible with the ball in his hands offensively.

I don't have any confidence in hayes offense. However, I do think he can be a big play for us tonight on defense. He has played very well the last couple of games.

I really think the key to the team is Mangrum right now. He plays with a pace and energy that complements JFrog. Mangrum can score in bunches. We need 12-15 points out of him and we should win at home. good minutes out of haynes helps too, but for me its become Mangrum that is key to us playing well.

Seems like he's been as big of a liability as an asset when we have the ball in the last 3 games:

ORU: 7 points, 1 Assist, 3 Turnovers, 2 Steals in 16 minutes
JAX: 2 points, 1 Assist, 3 Turnovers in 16 minutes
NIU: 3 points (1-4 shooting free throws), 1 assist, 2 tunovers, 11 minutes

Mangrum is one of those energy kids that makes a difference, even when not scoring. I'd love to see 6-8 out of Losh or Clink tonight too. Just need scoring from somewhere, and it comes easier if the kids can shoot. Haynes really has to be on, cutting hard, or pick up a few in transition, to be an offensive factor.

Each time you would race to Stallions defense, I thought you must be a stoner, after this post, you have to be a crack head.

i'm still trying to figure out how someone who has such disdain for the program can invest so much time on a Friday night watching/listening to the game with the sole intent of being a horses [deleted]
