With a more athletic, quicker, stronger, talented bunch next year, do we think we will see a style of play change with the offense?
I can see us going into more of a offense in transition ala Roy Williams rather than the 25-30 sec. of Princeton. Also, I'd like to see the staff consider Mike Anderson's "40 minutes of hell" or Shaka's "Havoc" defensive scheme. This will suit our athletic bunch much better.

See Richmond's offense this year. That's what we are going to be working towards. Those guys run the Princeton but will take an open shot early if it's there.
Defensively, I favor anything that makes our competition stay disciplined to beat us. CUSA teams have trouble staying disciplined.

safe to say we're running the spint motion cause it works. That doesn't mean we won't shoot earlier in the clock, cause i'm sure we will. I'd also bet that we break a little more, when the opportunity presents itself.
We aren't going to touch Mike Anderson's schemes nor do they make any sense for SMU as a program, even w/increased athleticism. Also, congrats to Shaka, but until this run, he wasnt exactly considered an X & O guy, or particularly successful. It's going to be great if NC state or someone bites on that guy, based on this run. As for Roy's O, we already tried a motion w'/the secondary break at SMU, not happening.
You don't change schemes based on personnel, you recruit personnel to your scheme. in our case, the athleticism is secondary and skill level is first. Most everyone can shoot & pass, which trumps running & dunking every single time
