Hoopmanx said former Aggie assistant Pooh Williamson's name has been thrown around a lot, especially after Turgeon left him behind when he bolted for Maryland. I assume that's who it is.

From DFW hoops.

Reggie Brown formerly of SMU has taken his DFW expertise to TCU. The opportunity to coach in the Big East was to big of an opportunity to pass on for the local product.

SMU also has a Director of Operations job that came open after Brion Raven took a coaching position with the UT-Arlington girls programs. The barbershop says that former SMU player Gerald Lewis may be the front runner. So that still leaves the position that Brown left. The grapevine tells me that a very familiar face should be announced as the newest member of the SMU staff in the next week or so.

I would love to see Gerald Lewis come home, but he is an assistant now at New Mexico State. Wouldn't the ops director gig be a step down? Besides, I heard there was another (ops director) candidate on campus yesterday. I don't know who it was, nor do I know if there is a leader for the position.

Then again, I don't really know what an ops director does, either. Can anyone explain? Thanks.

I'm not saying Lewis won't get the job, but I heard he interviewed very poorly.

I think he interviewed for AK-fairbanks. AK-anchorage hosts a tournament every year w/ D1 schools
