Great to hear he is coming to SMU. I remember speaking with him when he visited as a HS senior...great kid.

its official. He stopped taking other assistants calls last week, I'm told. Honestly, this has been all but done since January. Nick just wanted to get a clean look after the KSU semester, and then he had his jaw broken a month back, so that delayed things etc.

Is this kid a true point? More of a tweener?

I could never understand why you'd want anyone to begin in January. Wouldn't you want him to have to sit out a year in order to preserve eligibility and not waste half a year?

should be day after fall school schedule is over rather than January. December 15-18 or so. I think they start in December because the kids 5 year clock is running. His eligibility ends 5 years after his class enters school (although there are exceptions for medical waivers etc).

I thought he wasn't enrolled at Kansas State in the spring.

He finished the semester at KSU, the question is whether he appeals to play this season b/c of family illness. If not, he''ll miss this season, and be good to go next.
