Coogs have the #6 2012 hoops recruiting class in the nation after getting verbals from those two top 50 guys from Houston.

It's a good Houston class, and I love House, but it's not top 10. Rivals couldn't suck worse at basketball. Sadly, I actually like Tulsa's class better, which benefitted from us dropping out of the King sweepstakes.
Don't get me wrong, I like our two kids, and Bernardi will be great for us, but to catch either Houston or Tulsa, we have to have a big name impact big.

Sounds like CUSA is starting to become a fairly strong basketball conference.

Houston just got a verbal from Valentine Izundu. SMU has a good lil class, that could turn out even better. Still, right now, we maybe have the 8th or 9th best class in the league. We didn't need a huge class this year, and we did get quality, but still could use that blockbuster piece that many of CUSA classes already have.

I really liked what little I saw of Izundu. Raw as hell, but intriguing.
Did you ever get a chance to see him in person on the AAU circuit?

I did not, had a few friends that saw him at Rumble in the Bronx, I think. They said he's an absolute project offensively, and not as strong on the boards as he should be for his size, but just controls the paint w/his length on D. Blocks everything. To me, he's the perfect kind of project for a CUSA type team. Redshirt him a year, get some weight on him, refine his skill, hope you have Festus Ezeli or whatever
