A friend of mine was there tonight and said it was pretty ugly. Apparently, we didn't score for about 7 minutes.

This was probably one of the ugliest games I've ever seen us win, as we were leaving a friend said it was like watching a John Shumate game.

But we still beat the Frogs.

Both teams were ice cold, both shot under 25% from the field.

This TCU team is not as strong as in past years, their best player has a concussion and is out indefinitely.

But we still beat the frogs.

So, there is still alot of work to do, and room for improvement, but the team is off to a 3-0 start with a couple of solid wins, so I am not going to complain. Hope to see this group make progress as the season progresses.

To be fair, SMU is using an entirely new offense. I assume there will be some ugly outings while they get used to the new system. The video made a good point about being 3-0 (including wins at what I gather is a solid UALR team and over Froggy High) while learning a new system is pretty impressive. There will be days when the offense looks like this. Getting a win on days like that speaks volumes about the defense and the coaching.
