Need I say more?
SC Upstate
UAPB
And it goes on and on and on...
...and even with arguably the most talented team he's fielded in his tenure here.
Thanks for another low moment, Matt.
Totally unacceptable against a team that was 1-9 coming in...
GOOD GOD!!

That was the last straw. This program should aspire to so much more than this. We have some athletes, but we're coaching them into the ground. I've had enough. Go young & aggressive.

Point taken but USC Upstate is in the Atlantic Sun, not the SWAC.

Well, I was just pointing out some of his notable dingdong losses and they came to mind.
You know I think I said that he should be given this season to sink or swim with the new roster and then if it blows up, we make a change.
I guess it's time for me to go back and use the same lines from two years ago of, "let it implode to the case where the evidence is so clear, that a change is needed.''
This blows.

A colleague of mine graduated from JSU. I suggested that we go down there together and watch some hoops but he said J-State would get creamed.
With six minutes to go and up two points, I texted him an update, and he said, "You won't hear the end of it if we pull it out. Go JSU."
They had one guy (Kelsey Howard) blow up for 27 of their 59 points. It seems to have come down to better perimeter shooting (9/19 from 3 for JSU and 9/25 for SMU) plus poor free throw shooting for SMU (5/13). What was the atmosphere like? Pro-Ponies or Pro-HBCU?

Another numbing, depressing athletic evening in the Doherty era. Harkening back to a Dement era re-hash, at least he drove everyone nuts after we had accomplished something.

Tough loss but they're 2-8 and 3 of those losses are to teams ranked in the top 10.

According to realtimerpi.com, they are 0-9 against Div I schools, but all but one was on the road. They apparently played Tulsa at home. Wow! They've lost to two teams with losing records (Tulsa and Wright State).

Our game had no flow to it from the very start, playing 11 players like it was a scrimage with DOH screaming instructions all over the court. It was very ugly. Glad SO was there at least for part of this debacle.

I know, I have seen almost every home game and many road games. Self-flagellation

totally agree. Doh outta try the 5 in and 5 out thing. I usually hate mass substitution, but subbing units in and out has more chance to work than the constant one player at a time gyrating he is doing at every dead ball.
