Final straw my friends. We just lost to a 1-9 Jackson St. team in Dallas. PATHETIC. I'm almost speechless...this is his 6th year and we are still dealing with horribly embarrassing loses like tonight. He has yet to have a winning season in CUSA and only 1 winning season on the Hilltop overall...and this is the man that is going to lead us in to the Big East?!? We are about to get annihilated if we don't change leadership and change it fast. I really feel sorry for these kids, Doh just can't coach, plain and simple. We barely beat Florida Gulf Coast, barely beat Oral Roberts, barely beat Georgia Southern, and got by the Arkansas Little Rock juggernaut in OT. And this is the cupcake portion of the schedule!! The third highest paid man on campus should be doing a better job then this. SMU, Mustangs fans, and especially these student athletes deserve better then this coach. Doh's time is up...thanks for delivering the Crum Center, giving us 5 good minutes of PR, and delivering an epic advertising campaign...but your time is up, you couldn't get the job done and we need to find someone that can.

well that sucked. Nice effort by the athetic dept with the T-shirts. needed some more music to liven the atmosphere though. You can't lose the friggin game though, come on. We have some nice individual players but the team game was really bad and deteriorated as the game went on. The defense was horrible despite holding them to 59 points. but the offense was even worse. UGLY. Even with 3 DISD kids in the lineup, we didn't win any fans south of the Trinity river tonight. what a shame. The substitutions and rotation was just a mess tonight which might explain some of the ugliness, along with final exams, but a real coach and program win a game like that going away. Finals can't excuse that mess.

Doh's substitution pattern has been a mystery since he's been here. I almost bought into the optimism coming into this season but nothing has changed. And I was seriously thinking about going to the AAC game against Okie St.......glad the Mavs start soon.

is it safe to say any small momentum Doh had from last year's CIT is gone? I really miss the Dement years when we had some momentum. Doh has no Mo and its like he can't decide what players to ride. We are seeing the after shocks of that 7 player class and a program with no continuity. This team is just a collection of guys with no identity. Doh better figure out a real rotation and who he trusts very quickly.

Doh sucks nugs, but that 7 man class was almost completely weeded out the year after. Let's not act like we were saddled w/that class. Doh is the master of forced attrition. As for any mo we had, we could still get it by winning a few games we shouldn't. Long season. That said, there is no reason to believe this team will gel b/c they don't mesh w/this system. The Doh experiment must end. Dude is a good front man and has helped the program with fundraising, but his coaching abilities are simply not good enough. We lost to a 1-9 SWAC team? And we are going to the Big East in 2years??

Time for a fresh start. This is what happened at UNC. Doh recruited Felton, May, and others, but could not coach them. He was fired and Roy won a title with Doh's players.

Someone can do that here at SMU. The talent is there.

Time to fire DOH. I quit going to games because it drives me crazy trying to figure out what he is doing from a coaching perspective. Top 25 in everything we do except basketball coaching. Dude is an awful coach.

If we underperform by the end of the season then make a move, but until then let's be patient and support the team. I am not a fan of in-season coaching changes, especially not with the current staff as no one on our staff is a candidate to become our head coach.

I agree it is time for a new coach. I will still be going to the AAC because basketball is an up and down sport, and all it takes is a couple wins.

I know we don't have the most fans in the world but I'm still amazed at the number of people that claim they are quitting week after week. It seems like if they were actually showing up we would have thousands of people there

Agreed. There is nothing to be gained by firing him now. That being said, Orsini needs to be window shopping right now to identify potential replacements, so that at the end of the year he can act quickly.

SO could reassign him elsewhere in the AD and let one of the assistants finish out the year. Could not be any worse and probably be better. I wonder what the players really think about DOH as a coach.
