Lesson: Generally, we suck the first game after finals. We win if it's a road game, we lose if it's a home game.

Are we the only NCAA school who requires basketball players to take final exams this time of year? Just wonderin'.

No. We're just the only NCAA school who fails to keep the practice schedule fairly regular during finals (at least that's what I pieced together from Doh's interview).

Players don't seem to shift back to basketball mode if we play at home. They seem to do so if we travel on the road.

It's a failure of the coaching staff if we aren't having, in Doh's words, "cohesive practices" during finals week

They should win. Because they have a real coach who probably has decent practices during finals.

Why doesn't SMU have decent practices during finals? School restrictions or Doherty imposed?

And isn't it odd that SMU wins the road games and loses the home games? This was a quasi-road game as well.

The lack of practicing during finals is the dumbest thing and is just a complete excuse.

IMO Doherty imposed. Tubbs didn't seem to have a problem winning in big fashion after finals.
