I would think Rhonda is under pressure with a 7-8 start and 0-2 in CUSA with a loss to Rice today. It will be a big step up to Big East BB and we have not shown we are ready.

I have only been to one women's game this year so far, and I am not sure how good we should be this year, but I would tend to be a little worried and disappointed too. Right the ship Ladies!!!!

SMU currently ranked 195 RPI. Five BIg East teams in top 20. Rhonda is a great coach but we are not recruiting AQ quality players. This has to change.

I'm sure the women's basket ball team will get things turned around. A couple of the losses have been really close if I recall correctly.

Recruiting will certainly improve with the allure of the Big East as well.

Greener pastures are certainly ahead! Go Ponies!

Given the same talent, I'd take Coach R any day.

It was known coming in that this would be a lean season. Lost some very productive players (Wills, Day, Christian) and the team's best player this year (Elliott) is playing on one good leg -- that's a recipe for some rough times. Hopefully the team will grown and develop through the season, and next year's freshman class is supposed to be one of the best in school history. At times they have played pretty well -- mostly when Filmore or Mahnesmith is hitting 3s -- and hopefully they'll get hot enough to win some conference games.

In the meantime ... see you tonight at Moody.

Last year was a lean season as well so the player losses can't be considered a huge factor! I love stability and hope to keep all of our coaches in place, but they need to step up with results! The only reason RR gets a pass is because most people do not care about women's basketball unless the team wins big. The results have been underwhelming the last couple years though!

Right. Last year was lean, and we lost a few good players from that team. I assume we'll be a middle-of-the-pack team this year, but everything I have heard about next year's new players is shocking (in a good way).

And yes, MustangFan, I'll see you at Moody. Go Ponies!
