Awesome news to hear.
You think they would want everything done in time for SMU's Big East debut.

Think they can do all the north side work without disturbing too much. Then get to the interior stuff after the season.
Who was I talking to in Bham about moody's status next season? Is that semi-public info?

Have they ever released detailed plans/renderings other than the few generic DMN ones?

That was me... it will open fully complete in December 2013 to open the Big East Basketball season. Plans are for a big game vs. Georgetown, St Johns or the like to kick it off. All of Moody will close down after the season in 2012...after this 2011 season the North new Section will go under construction and won't effect Moody.

exciting that its finally happening. Georgetown would be a good opener. Or maybe Notre Dame. Uconn and Louisville would be awesome too. Not sure about St Johns, that would be sort of underwhelming.

After the Moody renovations, SMU is going to open the basketball season with a conference game?

I would guess they need the time to get it done. Could see an early season tournament, road game(s) closeby, and hell let's have the South Dallas SMU Classic at Ellis Davis and invite three other teams that'll bring some fans

The Ellis Davis game was an experiment for the early 2013 basketball games to be played. It will be a big game to kick it off, BE team or not. Whats wrong with St Johns BTW?.....they are big time and are a big name as well.....ex-UCLA coach Steve Lavin has is gelling out there.

Question is, will there be a new coach in 2012 or 2013?
