Looking forward to the game tonight and see how the guys bounce back after that tough loss Wednesday. We should be able to win this game, but we will see. I saw UTEP was favored by 6.5.

UTEP is like us in that the entire team in new. Actually, several of the guys on their current roster were guys Reggie Geary targeted for SMU a few back. Looks like a decent match-up on paper, but we have to show up. I'd be inclined to bet SMU, but I don't need to get any more angry at the program than what i was following Rice.

We won a few back in the WAC days in El Paso.

Actually, this is the 39th time we will face UTEP and back in the WAC, SMU actually had a 9-5 record against UTEP. But since moving to C-USA together, we have a 1-11 record, with the lone win being in Dallas.

We used to have success against these guys, but its been quite a while.

Time to turn that around.

Yeah, I think tonight might be a great night for us. And it would be a huge morale boost to the program. The Rice game nearly killed me, it was so frustrating to watch. I like the kids we have this year, and I actually thought about heading over to El Paso, but I couldnt make that work. We can win, and it would be a huge road win, but we need to have energy that for some reason we did not have on Wednesday.

If anybody has the "Texas Channel" on dish/cable, it shows a listing of the SMU-UTEP game on TV. I guess I will find out in a couple of hours.

Never mind about the Texas channel. It has the game listed as SMU-UTEP, but I'm picking up Texas Tech Lady Raiders basketball game.
