ESPN: Doh on Chopping Block?

6. I wonder how much longer SMU will stick with former Notre Dame and North Carolina head coach Matt Doherty. There are too many recruits in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for the Mustangs to be this mediocre. I'm not saying I expect SMU to get top local products such as Le'Bryan Nash, Darrell Arthur or C.J. Miles. But it shouldn't get out-recruited by North Texas, either.

Luna's Tortillas, Dallas: My hometown is littered with good Mexican restaurants: El Fenix, Blue Goose, Mariano's and Pepe's & Mito's, to name a few. I'm not sure any of them, however, are as good as Luna's Tortillas on Regal Row and Harry Hines. From the fried jalapenos stuffed with chicken and cheese to the pork tacos to the tamales and tortillas that have made the family's name famous in Dallas for decades, Luna's does everything top notch. My only problem is deciding what to order, because it's all so good.

Luna's also has an SMU helmet on display in the waiting area - at the tamale factory across from the restaurant.

FYI- tortilla dough and tamale dough (masa) are totally different than bball Doh. One is very good and the other is very bad. Not hard to decide which is which. How much longer must we endure the pain of Doh's mediocrity?

LOL, anyone seen UNT's '12 class? Garbage. Doh should be on the hot seat, but I wish people wouldn't back up that fact w/inane comments, when there is so much real dirt to toss on him

Ouch. That hurts. Not really sure if it's true that we're being out-recruited by UNT, but the fact they believe we are is pretty sad.

they have no clue if we are or aren't, they're just using Tony Mitchell as the basis of a sweeping statement. The reality is that Mitchell could only get backdoored into one school in America. He was turned away at Mizzou etc. Anyway, good kid & an even better player. Wish him well. Like I said, they should throw legit dirt on Doh. Recruiting isn't the concern here

Doh should take a lesson from Jimmy Jones @ UNT on how to develop PG's.
Chris Jones, no relation to their HC, is getting the majority of the minutes @ PG as a true freshman. The experience he is getting is going to pay off big time for the Mean Green this season, & seasons to come.
Avg 14 pts, 4 boards, 4 assists per game.
Jones vs. Manuel coming out of HS was a toss up IMO.

I like Jones and liked him quite a bit in high school too. Manuel was the better prospect, and certainly had considerably better offers, but your point is well-taken. Doh has an unhealthy love affair w/Frog, not so much that he's afraid of giving young kids burn.

Two players from Denton Community College were ruled academically ineligible. Jordan Williams and Chris Jones.

Surprised Tony Mitchell isn't in the same boat :)

What's hilarious, most of the Eaglettes posters are blaming Mike Doocy of KDFW for reporting it on the news.
