Picture the Gerbil in the running wheel

That's where this men's basketball program is. It's just not going anywhere.

I'm sorry but I'm just so frustrated at where we've been, what we're accomplishing or not accomplishing and what we're doing to move forward.

I'm really starting to reach an end here. I'm not saying I'm going to walk away from SMU hoops. I'm just sick of what we've been looking like since about 2002.

I'm just numb from it. It is what it is, until it no longer is.

There was a time when the rehab/rebuild was so profound, that celebrating the little victories mattered. Actual victories would be nice now. What's saddest is that we're actually making progress as a program, even now, but that's completely lost b/c we're just losing gut-wrencher after gut-wrencher.

I really don't know what the best thing is to do for the program right now, especially given the state of the roster, and we'll likely lose most of our '12 class. Also, I still firmly believe in playing methodically for this program, just not this slow. I don't think I can sit through a presser of a new coach saying we're going to run, but not knowing a damn thing about this program, or what makes sense, given what we've been able to recruit over the years. Next coach is not allowed a learning curve cause they didn't understand what they were getting into, inherited, or how SMU admin/admissions or anyone else operates. IF we get a new guy, they have to be completely dialed into the culture of this campus, city & program. Otherwise, we're just going to step into it again

That said, it's hard to ignore the prevailing feeling that we need some fresh air.

You're down on an SMU team/coach? Forgive me while I take a minute to wrap my head around this new stance of yours...
