BLVD type tailgate for Basketball

Postby texasmustang10 » Wed Jan 18, 2012 10:14 pm

I don't see why SMU doesn't work to set up a Boulevard-type tailgate for home basketball games. You could start it with a trial version on a Saturday home game, and possibly expand it to a few more games in the following years. It would be done on that new plaza area between moody and dedman. Call it The Plaza. Has this been suggested already?

Also, red and blue tie dye SMU basketball shirts need to be our new giveaway for the Sellout game each year

Might want to try the long range weather forecast on the Weather Channel before trying that.

Not a bad idea, but definitely weather impacts whether it would be viable or people would show up.

Doing it before a women's game was a mistake. People drink outside at Barley and twisted root and home bar every weekend, that's not the issue.

Pitch a tent.

I like this idea. Would be a better way to socialize with fans than in the meatball closet.

Great idea.

Set up a tent in Front of Moody, have the space heaters around inside when needed, provide some tables and folding chairs and have everyone BYOB and sell hot dogs.

This would increase the crowds or at the very least increase my fun.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
