Guess the date SMU fires Rhonda

Postby SMUBaller » Sat Feb 11, 2012 1:55 pm

She has had some decent years but far from anything considered Top 25 ---- seems to mired in the middle of pack in Conf USA year and year out ! Is it time for a change along with Doh ? Got to get ready for the Big East across all sports.

She announces her retirement after SMU wins the BE and the National Championship in 2025.

Yeah................... except maybe for those 2 conference championships in 2009, and 2008, and a couple of second place finishes. You really forgot this quickly? Still in 5th this year, with a chance to move up a spot or two.

Rhonda is a great coach for SMU and will do well in the Big East. She has point guard issues this season and is doing about what was expected. Hopefully, the team can finish strong. With the two recent transfers and a strong 2012 recruiting class we should be much better next year. She has been close on many of the top players in the area but has lost out to the big BB schools. Going to the Big East should get us over that hurdle.

Ironic statement given that you resorted to immature name calling earlier in this thread.

Girls lose at home to a 9-15 S Miss. team. Neither one of our basketball teams, are anything to brag about.

Rhonda has been here for a long time but will have to step it up in the BE. I hope she does well. She could have retired in CUSA but we will just have to wait and see how she does in the BE.

Same problem as with the men's team. Start bringing in top rated national teams and attendance will improve. This should happen when we move to Big East.
