I give my money to SMU, support the players and coaches. Graduated in 1994. SMU doesn't need "fans" like you. You criticize everyone else, I'll support our coaches and players.

If it were ever a time for changing head basketball coaches would you support SMU for making the change?

Yes. I just think we have all underestimated how hard it is to turn SMU BBall around. Last time we were relevant....1988. Doherty can do it and I would like to see where he has it in 15 months when his contract is up. My money is that it's 19/20+ wins and solid core of Sophs/Freshmen and some more solid recruits.

Relevant? Dement had SMU far more relevant than Doherty is even close to having us. Dement was playing meaningful games in February. Doherty hasn't played one yet and isn't sniffing one. What do you want to do, give him an extension or just let his contract play out to the last minute so we can have a lame duck recruiter? Sometimes you have to move on. 2-8 in CUSA with dismal attendance in year six cannot be rationalized or defended, and is time to move on.

all I know is that we need to find a way to win 3 of these next 4 games

You should care - there are about 15 of us who pay for your coaches. If you need money to get into Moody, let me know. Would love to see what you look like in person.
