Did he forget how to Coach or forget how to recruit?
Either way he should be run out of town for failing to have one winning conference season in 6 years under a competitive Model
Good trivia question-has SMU ever kept a Coach in Football or Basketball who couldn't get a .500 Conference Record in 6 years. Not in my lifetime.

And when he makes a minor coaching mistake, we should jerk him from the game immediately. Nah... he's had enough humiliation this year. The "Battle for the Basement" begins at 7 pm on Wednesday.

I scored high on my eighth grade TAKS test and was accepted to UT-Dallas... The Yale of the Metroplex! Too bad I went to SMU instead of UTD, otherwise my credentials would be just as impressive as yours.

It might be worthwhile to take your own advice about sticking with the theme of the basketball thread. We're on an SMU board for goodness sake. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

I would "head-but" some of these guys to get their attention and then have an entire practice where they block out, take charges, and dive on loose basketballs. You would be to scared to scream at Doh. He would go "boo" and you would run.

I think some sense of toughness does not to be instilled, but that starts with the coach. Head-butting is not the way of doing it, obviously. I assume you were joking as that is a form of physical abuse, which by the way, can cause actual brain trauma.

good question. Why is a Yale grad here telling us that the only way that SMU can win is to cheat? Pretty insulting. And not true. But in any case, i'd be happy with just a modest repeat of the Dement years of 1997-2003 at this point. At least we played some meaningful games. Dement did a much better job here than Doh has done. And yes, Mr. Bickle, Doh will be absolutely fine. Why are you so worried about Doh's money?

Well you just talked about everything but SMU basketball. We will beat UAB 57-48 or 67-58. Our young guys will actually help in this win for one of the first times this season. We will have four guys in double figures.

I assume that means you will talk about only basketball from now on as well. I hope you're right on your prediction on the game against UAB. They're a middle-of-the pack conference team. Unfortunately, we're at the bottom looking up at everyone else. We're 12 games into 2012, and we only have 3 victories. It can't get much worse. Although I think we'll be lucky if we can go 0.500 the rest of the way.

Don't waste your time on this poll. I am glad that young man is speaking the truth but there is only one Travis Bickle. Almost scored a perfect score on my SAT and was on the road to an incredible career when I got carjacked and suffered a TBI in which several posters actually make fun of this type of injury. That speaks volumes about them.

Back to basketball: Let's give Doh a standing ovation when he walks out of the court Wednesday. Yes, we will beat UAB - probably 67-58.

If your TBI caused your career not to be incredible how did you manage to become a self-made millionaire? And yes, folks, I ask the question because I really want to hear the tale told.

mustangsabu...please don't quote TB as we all really don't want to read his nonsense and why oh why, do you want to even engage his lunacy?...it brings you down to his level. I had more respect for you than that.....in my 4 years on PF I have never been so disgusted in anyone than this TB..it has ruined this site for many. How he can stay on here when NO one wants to hear his [deleted]......is beyond me.
