Ryan Manuel

It's time for Ryan Manuel to be starting at point guard, and getting a lot of minutes.

The guy is 6'5" and has long arms, is very quick and a really good leaper. He is not an elite ball handler or shooter yet, but those things can be taught. Jeremiah Samarrippas is a tough, smart, competitive player, and I have all the respect in the world for him, but his size and speed limits him. When he dribbled the ball off his foot in the last minute today, kicking it into the stands, that was a telling moment. Every point guard has turnovers. Chris Paul makes them, Magic Johnson made them. But if you're going to have a point guard dribbling in the final minute and risking a turnover, it has to be the tall, quick guy who also can block a shot on the other end or pick a guy's pocket and go the length of the court for a dunk.

I'm not saying to get rid of Samarrippas. Nothing like that. But it's time for Manuel (and Jalen Jones and Cannen Cunningham) to play more. Jones has been playing a lot lately, and very well, and Cunningham got some long-overdue minutes today and showed some nice flashes.

It's time to give the kids the keys and see if they can drive.

Totally agree. Manuel should have been given the keys 20 games ago. The whole team knows it

When Manual played in both halves, the energy level went up considerably. The entire team came alive. The team played trying to win, not afraid to lose.

What is more concerning to me is why Clink gets time. He doesn't do anything offensively or defensively. The guard rotation should be between Cotton, Samarippas, and Manual and that is it.

Yep. Yet another reason Doh needs to go. The team appeared to played much more lose and free the last 10 minutes of tonight's game.

39 points in 10 minutes to close the game....

Where on God's green earth has that been all season? Is it just me or is that not compelling evidence that this team should not be running the Princeton?

If it doesn't happen during the remainder of this season, I believe it will happen next season.

you could see the confusion in Ryan's eyes as he was constantly pulled off the floor in those closing minutes for Doh's "situational" substitution. As well as the guys were playing, those sub patterns were extreme and confusing at times and make it tough for the guys to get into or stay in the flow of the game

But will he be driving a Mustang?

Check out the Doh press conference after the game. Almost every reporter mentioned the abandoning of the Princeton and subsequent success. Doh was still hesitant to admit it or say he planned to roll with a more open style from this point on...Joke!
