If Doherty stays, there will be roster chaos

If for some reason Doherty is retained, you're going to have this. With the talk that player(s) are considering transferring should this happen, you're going to have the May signing period look like a total scramble. And the sping regarding these signings will be laughable.

And then we would be starting over in 2012-13 like we did in 2011-12. Then you're further behind trying to get this thing looking decent entering the Big East. This program is already set too far back for another offseason where roster chaos could follow.

We don't need that.

If we do not have an announcement regarding a change with this coaching position by the middle of March, that will be SMU's decision.

It will also be my decision to even consider whether SMU men's basketball will still be on my radar. I know I don't go to too many games, but I go when I can. If you start losing the die-hards, then there isn't any further you can fall.

The move has to be made.

Again, this isn't personal against Matt. Good guy. But my love for SMU and the overall health in athletics is at the forefront of this. It doesn't matter who the steward is.

you are likely to see roster changes regardless of whether Doh stays or someone else comes in; new guy is always going to want his guys, especially coming off a sub .500 season

only issue is whether roster changes will be player or coach driven

Doh will not be staying. Absolutely no chance. But...I could see SO keeping him around to "save money". If that is the case, I will no longer support basketball and the avg attendance will be 79.

You cannot count the custodial staff in your figures.

DOH is a good guy! It is not his fault, he needs better recruits. These recruits came here by themselves Doh did not recruit them! He has children and a wife to take care of! Don't you have any respect for his family? I give thousands of dollars to save children all over the world. The children are or future. I watch satillite not cable, I wish I was a millionare.
