the team makes a run now that they've ditched the "spread" offense and assuming Doh was gone, does Doh stick around another year?

I'm gonna say no, b/c the 44 offense we're using, is the same we used Doh's first 3.5 years. The man just isn't a teacher

I agree with Hoopmanx that a run would be seen as too little too late. And I wonder if even the change to the 44 is going to be enough to appease players who don't like playing under Doh. I am sure that, the game being as big a part of our impending move to the BE, the decision has already been made, and that this is just another example of SMU's keeping the real story under wraps for the professional image of all.

That said, I would like nothing more than a run in the C-USA championship....

As always this season and last two seasons, i have hoped for the best but I got the worst.

The only "run" that I could see saving Doh would be one that includes winning the CUSA tourney, making the Big Dance and gaining a Final Four appearance. If he can pull that off, I'll give him another year (I'll also stock up on canned goods because that confluence of events would likely be a sign of the apocalypse). He tried his best, he hasn't gotten it done, and in all fairness to him, the school and our soon-to-be conference it is time to part ways.

Hate to say this, but winning the CUSA tourney, saves his job. Sorry Hoop, but what is the 44 offense? I'm sure I know it by a different name.

This is an absolute true statement. With his recruiting, a trip to the big dance would absolutely get him another year. Of course, the odds of that are slim to none, but he does have a sliver of hope in saving his job.

They'll lose tomorrow in Houston, and to S. Miss., will get knocked out in the first or maybe second round of the CUSA tourney, and we won't have to see the Screamer/Stomp Meister/Control Freak on the sidelines ever again. We will rejoice as will the team. Keep the search going Steve O.

I am going to stick by my feeling that we beat Houston today. After that, it's tough sledding.
