The thought of 28 points is a lasting image

Still hard to believe that this program found a way to accomplish something so humiliating.

Because we basically publicly lynched a hometown black head coach at a completely elite, fratty, white-washed school only two years into his tenure on nearly invented minimal violations that were self-reported. Didn't help that the next guy committed as egregious, if not more so, secondary violations with a worse win/loss record and not a peep from anyone upstairs. Took a long while for Robodoh to dig the school out of that hole. Turns out he's not a good head coach and isn't winning, so he basically fell into another hole.

I still wake up everyday and laugh at the fact that we scored 28 points in a game. When I see the number 28 somewhere, it is all I can think about. 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28

I got accosted twice about it. It sure was hard to respond; what can you say.

I'm thankful for that game, cause that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Are we forgetting the time we won NO games in a football season?

I still am haunted by that UAB game a couple of years ago where SMU blew like a 20 point lead with 7 minutes to go, or something silly like that.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

That game was devastating. The game vs Charleston in Hawaii haunts me as well. I can still see Lutz grabbing Doh on the arm/shoulder, telling him to call a timeout and set the D, but Doh didn't. Doh then proceeded to cry in front of the team in the locker room, what a monumental meltdown

To be honest I still struggle with the 63 point second half at Tulane....

That 63 point second half by Tulane is a real head scratcher...We stopped them cold in the first half and almost always play good defense and our offense limits our opponents possessions, the notion that a mediocre team could put up 63 points against us in a half is almost as unimaginable as us scoirng 28 points for a game.

I remember watching that Tulane game, they were just red hot in the second half, was really strange.

I think those were the exact words they hit me with, with the addition of "What Happened?" and diabolical laughter.

From someone who was there - we were all wondering why that timeout wasn't called
