We almost beat that at home. We're playing with house cash. Might as well win the damn game.

SMU makes a tremendous run, wins the CUSA tournament, and Matt Doherty saves his job for his final year. NOT!

mas·och·ism

We all suffer from it apparently.

Because when you cut through all of the garbage, we care more than we want to admit and we always want to win. And when we beat UTEP on Saturday, it felt good -- like it always does.

It doesn't change how we feel about the overall health of the program and knowing we need to change course. But I think when it comes to gameday, there's a different mentality, especially as soon as the ball is tipped.

Is the game on TV or just firstrowsports?

From the C-USA website:

As the top seed, Memphis (18-2 in its last 20 C-USA Tournament games) will have a first-round bye. Other teams receiving first-round byes include No. 2 Southern Miss, No. 3 Tulsa and No. 4 UCF. Wednesday's first-round match-ups feature: No. 7 Rice vs. No. 10 East Carolina at 12 p.m. CST, No. 6 Marshall vs. No. 11 SMU at 2:30 p.m. CST, No. 8 UTEP vs. No. 9 Houston at 6:30 p.m. CST, and No. 5 UAB vs. No. 12 Tulane at 9:00 p.m. CST. All first round games will be televised on CSS and streamed on the C-USA Digital Network for markets out of the CSS footprint.

CSS is Comcast, I believe.

Believe it is some NBC Comcast channel. Not on direct TV.
