I just read the game story. WKU fired their coach when they were 5-11. So this is an interim guy running the team.

FWIW, our next head coach needs to look at Ken McDonald for an assistant role. Guy got it done at UT and was a monster recruiter at WKU, but ran a loose ship. He'd be a huge bench hire for the new regime.

Just don't know if he can recruit guys that can stay in school at SMU or even to get in to SMU. UNT was easy and his short stint at Memphisas HC was the same....no students, just ballers.

If SMU think of it's basketball players as students, we're at such a competitive disadvantage in the Big East, it won't matter who coaches
