Good for him. There are worse ways to follow college than by getting paid to play a sport you love and see the world.
Enjoy, Mylo.

He ran out of eligibility and was not run off..correct?

Doherty never played him, but then again, the few times he did play, his time on the pine seemed warranted, especially since Papa Dia was here logging the minutes in the middle.

Too bad we don't have a bruiser of his caliber this year.

Of course, Doherty still has plenty of blame here. Should not have wasted a scholarship on a player that had DNP in probably 90 plus percent of the games he was here for during those two years.

I assume Doherty was looking for a solid backup to Papa Dia in the middle for Papa's Junior and Senior season, but Luttman was definitely a whiff in that endeavor.

That's the whole thing w/Doh and his roster management. He never ever gave his assistants the ability to offer, and most times vetoed kids they thought we should have offered, instead going for a kid of questionable ability.

No shot at Mylo, but that offer was a farce, as was Frog compared to the other kids who wanted to commit in the Spring of '10.

Did Luttman play QB at SMU? Last year, two guys (Bartell and McNown) started in the NFL despite not having the talent to stay on the field for miserable SMU football teams.

I figure the same thing must apply in BB. While we watch guys throw up air balls in a 28 point offensive explosion, the future NBA guy is sitting on the pine until he transfers.

heh, not sure....but my take always was Luttman was a guy that should not have been signed and did not belong in D1 basketball. I am really suprised to see he is playing professionally, he seemed to play very soft for a big man and really had no offense to speak of. Was really mad at Doherty for wasting that scholarship.

I never felt, however, that we had the next Koncak buried on the end of our bench. I thought his end of the bench spot was correct.
