Today is the day we go on an EPIC run to the NCAA Tourney.

I wish that didn't sound horrible. Doherty goes on an epic win streak, makes it to the tourney, loses in the 1st round, keeps his job, re-upped for 4 more years

Too bad we can't hear it on the radio when it tips off.

Here's a question I will pose to everyone:

Would you rather:

A) Lose today, fire Doh, and hire a new coach; or
B) Go on an epic run, win C-USA, and go to the NCAA tourney.

Personally, I'd rather have Doh for a few more years if it meant we made it to the tourney this year. Call me extremely short-sighted, but it's a place we haven't been to in almost 2 decades.

It will be a moot point if the history of Doh-coached teams in conference tourneys repeats itself. Expect a first round exit... second round latest and the search for a new coach continues.

If we win tourney, we get bid. If we get bid, we get banners for rafters. If we get banners for rafters, Doh stays. If Doh stays, Blaise & Bernardi definitely stay here as well. If Doh stays, a few kids probably definitely won't come back. Hmm...

A couple of years ago, Tom Penders won CUSA as a low seed with Houston and then left.

Probably a moot point, since SMU seems to never get anything going, but I would love to get on an epic run and make the tourney, even if it means Doherty stays around.

Winning is always good, if Doherty can get the Ponies to blow through the tourney and make it to the NCAAs for the first time since 1993, hell, he deserves an extension. Probably won't happen...but maybe it will.

Go Ponies!!!!!! In it to win it!

Saw that Marshall is a 7 point favorite.

yeah, gonna really suck. I have a meeting that lasts until 2:30pm and then I will hustle home and get the laptop hooked up to the bigscreen. However, if the game starts right at 2:30pm and I need to listen to the beginning of the first half in the car, I am screwed, well, I will be hearing SMU vs. Marshall, but it will be the 10th seeded Lady Ponies taking on the aptly named lady thundering herd.

Going to try and move the meeting, we shall see. Also, I did see that the "in progress" crap was mentioned in Kate's summary in the DMN BUT the radio listings on page 2 show the men's game starting at 2:30pm on KAAM, no mention of in progress.

Good job SMU and DMN!

Go Ponies.

Can we have the best of both worlds? The Ponies run the table, win the tourney and Doh is replaced during the off season. Perfect scenario. Go Ponies! (both the Men's and the Women's teams)

I'm done w/Doh and a new coach/AAU season is more exciting than a WKU style tourney entrance. One off league tourney championships, never ever are more important to me, than the regular season indicators.

I have no interest in losing the entire '11 class either.
