I hope you are joking. A High School coach to take us to the Big East. Obviously have not been watching the Big East Tourney? He might make a good assistant.

Back in 2010 there was this:

Highland Park head basketball coach David Piehler and coach Travis Snowden have been placed on probation for one year for violation of the Sunday prohibition rule according to a UIL press release.

The Sunday prohibition rule, from Section 1206 of the UIL Constitution states, "A League participant school shall not participate in any athletic contest or conduct any practice or teach any plays, formations or skills on Sunday."

This includes showing film or conducting meetings with the purpose of instructing or reviewing plays.

Piehler was issued a public reprimand for the violation in addition to the year of probation hand down to both coaches.

Actually, never heard of him until you threw it out there. You're captain random who starts these ridiculous threads so you get what you deserve.

FYI -- golf sucks!

Sure, let's hire the coach of the whitest high school in America, to coach the whitest university in america, in a predominantly urban game. Better yet, a guy w/no college coaching experience, and set him loose in the Big East.

On second thought, probably not worse than what Orsini has in store

and it aint piehler. nice guy. thats about it.

and fyi - SMU is 25% minority - not even close to the whitest university in america. Hell we aren't even close to the whitest school in Texas - that would be our friends down at A&M

Do you know something about who Orsini is going to hire, or just speculating that he'll make a 'very nice hire?' Inquiring minds need to know...lol
