Long Beach playing for the Big West title right now. Is he really a candidate for SMU?

Was recommended to Beaudine's minions, but doesn't necessarily make him a candidate

He is a good coach. Might be said that the best bb in So Ca right now is at long beach st. and ucsb.

Go Ponies!

does Beaudine actually recruit or just collect information. Sounds like a ridiculous process

he just collects info and pimps guys that will move so he gets a fee - (see exhibit A - arizona state and June Jones) - we need to find a different way,

We seem to go the conventional route always. And we don't even do that well. One day I would like SMU to act boldly and decisively in these matters. Though getting into the BE was great, we just continue to act as a small player, which we are, but we must break that mold and start behaving as if we belong.

What would be a bold move for SMU? Hiring a top 10 coach sounds great, but usually isn't feasible.
