Did anyone forget about him throwing his team under the bus in public? You might want to visit You Tube, watch it, and reconsider your post. He's an [deleted].

His four years at Tech. No horrific but doesn't look like the guy to make us Big East competitive:

2007–08 16-15; lost in 1st round of big 12 tourney; no NCAA appearance.
2008–09 Big 12 Conference 14 19; 1st round loss, big 12 tourney; no ncaa appearance.
2009–10 Big 12 Conference 19 16; big 12 quarterfinals; no ncaa appearance.
2010–11 Big 12 Conference 13-19; 1st round big 12 loss; no ncaa appearance.

FWIW, I've discussed that rant w/many in the coaching industry and think it was greatness, completely true, and a huge motivating factor for the team. They haven't lost since that rant.

That said, no way he should be considered for the SMU job.

I watched it. Tell me what was so horrific about since we don't know the method behind what he was doing?

You're going to tell us he was an [deleted] for doing it but then you won't believe his explanation for why he did it? Is that what you're telling us?

Why? Let's hear it, guys...

Nice to see that some of you have tranferred your anger from the father to the son based on this incident. Never heard a word from some of you when he was at Tech.

I'd say no simply because I think he's not really BE ready. His recruits at Tech were average, he's done well at Lamar, but that's not in a conference like the BE. In the BE we need a coach who is going to find Top 50 talent and recruit them, year in and year out. Otherwise, we'll be at the bottom of the conference.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Damn pinko commies...they're everywhere.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

The problem with Pat Knight is that he behaves like his father despite having had very little success in his own right. They are bullies and jerks - both of them.

While daddy Knight got away with it for a while, his record at Indiana gradually fell as people refused to play for a guy like that. Did daddy Knight have some success at Tech? Yea, but not the same. Did Junior Bully have success? Hardly.

If Pat Knight is the best we can do for a coach, we might as well convert Moody into a Spanish lab.
