Per ESPN:

Along with Bryce Drew, reports have indicated Kentucky assistant Kenny Payne is among the top candidates to replace longtime coach Rick Stansbury at Mississippi State. The school interviewed Murray State's Steve Prohm last week. Murray State announced Monday that Prohm had signed a one-year contract extension and been given a pay raise. Bulldogs officials also have spoken with Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Rob Jeter, who is not expected to get the job.

Former Missouri State head coach Barry Hinson, who was on Kansas' staff, is taking over at So. Illinois.

So when I started my twitter countdown of possible coaches to replace Doh, Bryce Drew was # 2 behind Archie Miller, followed by guys like Ben Jacobsen etc. Glad to see we've prospected so well

Calapari is just another Larry Brown guy. let's go to the top of the family tree, not the bottom.

Dayton has a solid tradition in BB starting with Don Donoher. That goes to Jim O'Brien, Oliver Purnell, Brian Gregory. But Dayton is set up to win in hoops.

When SMU beat Dayton in Doherty's first year(?), that was arguably one of his five best wins because of what kind of program that is. Of course, we got slaughtered on the return trip.

But Miller did a nice job his first year. They should have hosted that first round NIT game but had to go to Iowa because of NCAA first four.

A guy like Miller might be too obvious for us.
