Article is spot on. He could have been describing most of the PF's on here. Regardless of who we hire, there is going to be a lot of whining and crying.

Count me as a realist. The SMU gig has potential with the Big East move and money being spent on facilities, salaries, perks etc... But let's be honest it's kind of a crap job for various reasons and SMU's actions has helped to contribute to that fact. I think it's ridiculous for any of us here to expect Shaka Smart, Brad Stevens or any " big name coach" is going to walk into Moody and have the Mustangs in the NIT or NCAA his first season. This program needs a complete overhaul.

Personally, I'd be fine with a young up and coming assistant at a major program or a youngish successful HC at a "lesser" program come here and build something for the long haul.

In other words, the next Shaka Smart or Brad Stevens.

All you need is a crystal ball to figure that out.

On the other hand getting Larry Brown in here to win with our current group of players and improve the desirability of this job for a young experienced coach to step in 3-4 years down the road wouldn't be a bad thing either.
