Hope yo see this. Does anyone in the administration realize how ridiculous SMU, Orsini and Turner look right now?

hoop- in your opinion how much has this 'delay' in decision making hurt our recruiting and retention of current players?

I think it hurts in roster planning in general. Every new coach wants to review film, interview kids, and determine attrition. n short, who does he want to keep, and what ships does he want to open up. Right now, we're not in the mix for any profile transfers, and there are tons. Right now, we're not n the mix for any late '12 signings, and there are still a few good ones out there that could help. Not so worried about '13 kids yet, but need to be on the road during the first eval this weekend etc.

We're not crippled by the long search, but its not helping either. We have several ships that need to be opened, and a few players we have to retain. I believe we keep much of the '12 class. Have to end this thing, though

What is ridiculous are some of the inane posts, i.e. better known as Chicken Little assumes the worse. SO has his process, options and candidates. We are hardly in a position to declare this a failure at this point. After his announcement, fire away.

So the new name out there is Rick Majerus. Let's say, just for the sake of argument, that there's some fire behind that smoke.

Those who clamor for a TCU-esque speed hire are crazy. We waited eons for a football coach, and although he was gift-wrapped by Eric Dickerson, we landed a coach who has led us to three straight bowl games after decades (literally) of ineptitude.

Now TCU grabs a coach who was about to get fired and who often seems (to me, at least) to be grossly overmatched in the X's and O's department. SMU, meanwhile, is after a coach who admittedly is a strange dude but whose career record is 302 GAMES OVER THE .500 MARK.

But a quick hire of some afterthought would be better? I'm no Orsini fan, but if he lands Majerus, he will have kicked TCU's tail on this one.
