What do prospective coaches look at when they visit a campus? The kids on the team, the recruits, the facilities, the entrance requirements, or just the number of zeroes on the contract? I really wonder what is most important to them.

Some other things to add to your list, expectations from fans/administration, conference, potential for the job as a launch pad to better schools/professional league, and even basic things like the living situations for coaches and their families (schools, family, churches, w/e). What I want to know is what is most important to Larry Brown about this job.

Apparently many coaches don't seriously consider any of it... they're just looking for a raise from their own
school.

Which is why Larry Brown would take this job. He's got nobody to get a raise from.

Candidates closely look at the track record and longevity of past coaches. They might consider our HC job as a graveyard or not a career enhancing stop. Most look at Doherty's complete failure here.

Every coach sees it differently.
Brown might see it as a way back into the game.
Benford might see it as a chance to be a HC or a chance to leave Milwaukee
McClain - a second chance

Others might see problems.
