For our attorneys on Ponyfans, will you draft the standard LB Contract?

"Now that Southern Methodist is interviewing Larry Brown for its basketball coaching job, perhaps someone had better start going through the files. They might need the standard Larry Brown contract pretty soon."

but from another source:

This makes sense....insert SMU for Stanford:

Q: Why did you think Stanford was a good fit for you?

A: When I was a young coach with coach (Dean) Smith … I was offered the Connecticut job when I was 26. I wasn’t ready for it. But I always told him that Northwestern, Vanderbilt or Stanford were schools I would love to coach because you’re going to have a small pool of kids but they’re going to be unbelievable student-athletes.

ok, here is a shorter contract.
I LB agree to coach SMU for two years. Since I am the only person to outwardly ask for the job, I will make headlines when I come on board. Thereafter, you can expect immediate improvement in attendance and recruits. SMU should continue to look for a HCIW and since I know everyone in the industry, I will help fill that position.
Three years from now, when you have seen a large percent increase in attendance. SMU is playing at least .500 ball win in the BE conference, I will have earned whatever it is you paid me. Then, for once, SMU won’t have to buy a coach out. I will fulfill my 2 years and be gone. Maybe we can mutually extend the contact on a year to year basis, again not paying a buyout.

If we could go .500 in Big East play within FIVE years, I would do cartwheels naked on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Depaul was a stronger team in a much better CUSA, and has gotten beaten down in BE play for years.

yeah if they ain't laughin' at SMU in 3 years then he's a miracle worker. I'd take .500 in Conference and a strong non-conference record too
