That was hilarious. Hadn't heard it referred to as a crank before, but now I'm afraid the first time I see LB on the sidelines, I'll be thinking about him dropping the towel...
Amazing how Rome couldn't recover from that though...

I caught that yesterday on the road... I loved how he kept thinking about going back to the phones after the first call, but kept realizing that all incoming calls would be crank related...
I'm so thankful for my phone, so I can tune in from Houston.

Have you tried listening to the other stations? Only other program worth a damn is Ben and Skin from 9am-noon on ESPN. And they even came from The Ticket weekends.

If by passed around you mean started out on The Ticket weekends, and then picked up by ESPN then sure. Ticket weekend guys have no where to move up unless it is to another station during the week.

Actually, I pretty much stopped listening to sports talk radio within the last 2 years. I'll catch it for bits here and there but that's it.

Ben and Skin aren't pathetic whiners like almost all the other Ticket schtickers. I like 'em.

Wow, after listening to the commentary that piece both confirms Brown's abilities and damns MJ's in terms of evaluating and managing talent. It's too bad they split like that, but clearly we have a guy who has proven he can do some pretty good stuff with limited resources. Should be fun to see what he does with a lot more leeway in terms of talent on the court.

You're right. They just suck up to every interview they get as if they're old drinking buddies. They, and the Ticket, are great unless you want to hear actual information about sports.
