Is Dallas Christian in the mix? They might have 7 players this year and uniforms for everyone. #cheapwinbydoherty

While I understand scheduling patsy's, schools like Dallas Christian take things to an entirely new level. They didn't have a complete squad and I am pretty sure SMU could put together an All Star squad of IM Players and beat them.

Not really. High majors play borderline d1 teams all the time. The issue w/our schedules under Doh wasn't the cupcakes, it was lack of any legit programs. We'd play 2 high majors OOC a year, and then lose to garbage programs. You can schedule God awful schools so long as the OOC has some balance

one of our issues in terms of home scheduling is the cost of bringing good programs in; our attendance has been so horrifically bad that scheduling has been tough. Unknowns are what we can afford...and don't tell me scheduling "known teams" will guarantee interest. Even the recent game against A$M drew less than 6k to Moody. If Brown can put a competitive team on the court and renew some enthusiasm for this program, maybe all of that will change and we will see some top programs come into a packed Moody to play our Mustangs

And don't lose to the God awful schools

If the BE is serious about its brand, it would go out of its way to be sure that SMU has a few OOC games home and away this year with a few BE schools, even if its St. Johns, Seton Hall, and Temple.

According to the guy in the ticket office, the schedule should be out shortly. The delay was getting the CUSA scheduled finalized.
