Does SMU really even have a chance for these brothers is the question?...or is it a foregone conclusion?...Terps? Cats? or take the long shot with SMU? They would be a big time basketball program changer for SMU, THAT is for sure.


The Harrison Twins will announce Oct. 29 at Fort Bend (Texas) High School, Andrew Harrison confirmed to SNY.tv Monday night.
The new was first reported via Twitter by Nick Jones.
Aaron and Andrew Harrison are considering Baylor, Kentucky, Maryland, Villanova and SMU and recently told SNY.tv they are hearing the most from three of those schools.

“Baylor, Kentucky and Maryland, they pretty much contact us on a weekly basis,”Aaron Harrison Jr. said at the Big Strick Classic in New York.

Aaron Jr said they planned to take several visits in September, including one to SMU.
“I’m trying to take a couple visits in the fall, early September and make my decision from there,” Aaron said.

Going to be Cats, no doubt in my mind.

Its neck & neck between Terps and Cats right now. Both are very leveraged, and both are ok if it doesn't happen.

Those 2 should hook up with Julius Randle and come to SMU and become Dallas Legends. But that would be the hard road...and we all know none of them would give up the easy path to the NBA theyre on to do something historic.

All 3 of those guys are the truth. 2 years in college...at most. If this were the 90s and kids actually stayed in school for 3-4 years...I think theyd consider it. But in todays world...the NBA frowns upon ALL upperclassmen.

Andrew and Aaron Harrison have a different opinion than their father on where they should go to college, a Division 1 source close to the recruitment told SNY.tv.
“The boys want to go to Kentucky, the dad wants them to go to Maryland,” the source said. “The dad’s from there. He and [Maryland coach] Mark Turgeon have known each other a long time since Mark’s days at Texas A&M. But the boys want to go to Kentucky.”
The source added: “I think the boys will win out. If they can be first, if nobody will commit to Kentucky first, I think the boys will go to Kentucky. The dad favors his hometown.”
The twins are due to announce for either Kentucky or Maryland Oct. 29. ...SMU remains an extreme longshot.
They recently cut Baylor and Villanova from their original list of five.

Weird to see us in the same conversation with Kentucky and Maryland. Can't wait till we land a big fish.

I'm not sure if I like being teased. It would help if they disclosed the reasons that SMU is still an option.

With all the offers they had, I think to be in the final 3 means we are beyond teasing. I'm sure you and I could both list out a lot of good reasons why they should pick SMU. Hopefully the coaches are working hard for them because with the Harrisons a new era of basketball at SMU could begin.
