Women's Basketball Announces 2012-13 Schedule
Mustangs open season with six-straight home games starting Nov. 10

DALLAS (SMU) - The 2012-13 SMU women's basketball schedule features seven games in the first 19 days, including six home games to open the season. The Mustangs will play 10 of their 13 non-conference games in Moody Coliseum, which is undergoing a $40-million renovation.

SMU opens the season against Alcorn State on Nov. 10 at 12 p.m. before hosting a pair of in-state rivals. The annual Hoops for the Cure Classic is scheduled for Nov. 23 and 24. The Mustangs close out November with the first road game of the year at crosstown-rival TCU on Nov. 28.

The Mustangs wrap up the non-conference schedule at the Surf and Slam Tournament in San Diego, Calif., on Dec. 28 and 30, following a stretch of four home games before Christmas. SMU begins the 16-game Conference USA schedule at Tulane on Jan. 10, and host its first C-USA game on Jan. 13 against UCF.

The Ponies plays three of its last five games in Moody Coliseum, finishing the home slate with Senior Day against UTEP on March 3. The Mustangs conclude the regular season at Rice on March 7. The Conference USA Championship is March 13-16 in Tulsa, Okla.
