The marketing of college sports is becoming a joke. Will there be clowns, jugglers, and human-cannonballs at this event scheduled at JerryWorld ?

Wasn't his last idea a disaster? Seems like a cluster-fuck to me. It would feel and look like a giant basketball camp.

I will say one thing about Jerry Jones, the man knows how to market his product. He told every city that was competing to build Jerry World in their back yard he was going bring in events of all kinds and he is doing it. This Basketball event sounds like a bad ideal to me but he will have 60,000+ in attendance. To bad Dallas did not end up with Jerry World.

that place is HORRIBLE as a basketball venue. I would not go out there to watch SMU or anyone else play.
No basketball in football arenas. Its an easy rule.

I do not endorse the concept, but I think we do it simply because Moody will not be available so we incorporate it into our tour of DFW and play with the big boys.

Man, this spring or summer go by one of the PSA rec centers in Plano. 6,8,10 games at once goes on all the time

we can do it - but i aint going. It is a total beat down - you cant see or hear anything and traffice etc is nuts.

The kids would love it & that's who you cater too. If big name programs are in for this, & SMU gets a chance, you gotta go head first. Kids would love to say they played in it. I thought the aircraft carrier games where a little weird. Don't see this being much different.
One of the local HS programs has 2 games going @ once during their Holiday tournament. We go back & forth between the different games. Kinda cool.

You also do it so there aren't 8 teams playing on TV in Dallas (ok Arlington) w/o anyone talking about our program. The end game should be you want to play football or hoops in the area? Go through us. I know, pipe dream, but, have to have a dream to work toward.
