Post Season prospects

if they don't win the CUSA Tourney and get the auto-bid, sure looks like the women could at least get NIT consideration this year

as for the men, I expect they have to win 3 of the next 5 and a 1st round CUSA game to finish with a winning record (17-16). With Larry Brown as coach, that might earn a CIT bid

does anyone see this team winning 3 of 5 to finish? this is where that home court advantage becomes critical, but do we have enough to beat ECU and UTEP?

If the women win the regular season title and don't make the NCAA tournament, they would get an automatic WNIT bid.

I say the women sure look like they will at least get the NIT bid because I'm assuming they won't blow their current 2 game lead...but it sure would help to win today

The ladies have an RPI in the 50's right now, I think they are on the NCAA bubble, but the bad side of the bubble. They could still play themselves into an at-large bid with a strong finish, but the NIT is more likely at this moment.

Yeah, I think if they win out but lose the conference championship game, they might get an at-large bid. If they lose any more regular season games though, that's probably out.

Unfortunately for us, we have a couple of very tough teams still on the schedule, and ECU has a really easy end to the season. I think everyone they still have to play is 6th or worse in the standings. Plus they own the tiebreaker against us, so the ladies need to stay focused.
